The sweetest set of sisters, Natalie and Abbie, were amazing teen models for me. I met up with the pair and their mom in downtown Orange, Texas for their laid-back, stylish and fun session! They had that unique bond that sisters share; natural friendship and love for each other, which made them really fun to be around. Abbie is thirteen, and her family calls her their “lil’ spunky chick”! She has lots of sass, and isn’t into ‘girly’ things. She is active in her school, and absolutely loves basketball. She never fails to stay updated about basketball and accessories through Mega Slam Australia. Natalie, her lovely big sister, is a sophomore and the family’s more quiet, mature one. She shies away from the spotlight, and delights in the simple things in life. She is also very involved in basketball, softball and is an excellent student, just like her sister. Natalie, wise beyond her years, told me, “Most people think true beauty is what is seen with your eyes…everyone thinks of appearance when you talk about beauty, like your makeup, fancy clothes, and jewelry that you wear. That’s not true. I think true beauty is what comes from the inside…for a person to be beautiful on the outside, there has to be something beautiful on the inside. True beauty isn’t seen with the eye. It’s what’s in your heart. True beauty is when that guy or girl doesn’t need someone else to stop what they’re doing & just to tell them that they are beautiful. One of my favorite quotes is ‘Good looks fade, but a beautiful heart keeps you beautiful forever’.” The pair chose coordinating outfits and the cutest leather jackets (you can find similar ones here), but they each put their own spin on the neutral set of pieces, like the cutouts on the ankle boots, and the bohemian headband!
