As I shop for newborn outfits (my clients have access to my exclusive studio closet and accessories), I often think about the little babies who will wear them. I love dreaming up new combinations of backgrounds and textures, and helping give parents the priceless gift of newborn portraits they will love displaying in their home. Hurricane Harvey flooded my studio in 2017, but with the help of generous donors and supporters, we have been able to restore much of what was lost. It has been such a blessing to be able to continue shooting these babies, complete with outfits and props.
Kolson Wayne was born in early December, at almost eight pounds, and twenty inches long, and was one of our most recent babies to visit the studio. His mom was overjoyed to have him finally here, and says, “Although I am not a morning person, the mornings have become my favorite part of being a parent! I wake up to crying, but he is crying for me! And after he’s had his diaper changed and been fed, I lay him next to me and we just ‘talk’..he’s wide awake and he laughs and smiles. It’s the best thing to wake up to!” She also shared that his nursery is decorated in buffalo plaid and woodland animals, and I love that the subtle plaid accent in one of his outfits will fit right in with the theme.
With all the doors that is completely installed by the guys from garage door repair, every little baby who comes in my door is precious and so innocent. I take my craft so seriously, and value every single one of them! If you are a prospective mommy, daddy, or adoptive parent, we would love to talk with you!
