I think that I see something deeper, more infinite, more eternal than the ocean in the expression
of the eyes of a little baby when it wakes in the morning and coos or laughs because it sees the
sun shining on its cradle. (Vincent Van Gogh)
New life is something truly special. I always think about how precious it is to welcome a brand-new baby, with each family who comes into my studio. With every family who chooses me as their newborn photographer, I get to revel in the sweetness of a brand new baby, and I never get tired of it. I am a wife/mother/grandmother, and although I have of course welcomed babies in my own family, I sure love meeting the beautiful little ones of my clients. I treat them as if they are my family, too.
Baby Leighton was born recently, at six pounds, seven ounces. She is a delight to her family, who was eager to welcome her to the world. “Having such an amazing support system through my pregnancy was the most rewarding thing”, explains mom, “I knew so many people loved my baby as much as I did, without even meeting her. In the first three months of her life, I have had so many rewarding moments, I don’t think I could pick just one. First, it would be that I never knew it was possible to have so much love for one tiny human. I worked at daycares for years and was “Aunt Carli” to several friends babies whom I loved with my whole heart, but there is something special about the bond of a mother and her baby and I’m so happy to finally have that special love and bond with my sweet Leigh. It’s nothing I’ve ever experienced before. Especially when she looks up and smiles at me and holds onto my finger!” Mom also adds that watching Tyler, Leighton’s dad, with her is so rewarding as well. They have decorated the nursery in pretty tones of pink, grey, gold, and white, with an elephant theme.
