Life is full of surprises, and having a son was one of the best ones this family received! Yes, they kept the gender a surprise (one of the most fun surprises in life, in my opinion), and now they are the parents of a handsome little boy. He has tons of soft dark hair, and was absolutely adorable. I loved the bold and earthy tones we chose for this little one, and how they highlighted his very sweet spirit. Mom shared with me that since they didn’t know the gender, they decorated the nursery in neutrals (green and grey), and I think these will look wonderful in there.

The best time to reserve your newborn session is when you are in your second trimester. That allows us plenty of time to find the ideal schedule for you and your family. Of course, we know babies can arrive earlier or later than anticipated, so we work with each client individually to make sure we are prepared for any surprises! I loved working with Henry, and could have snuggled him all day! After their session, mom wrote me and said, “Thank you so much Paula, for capturing these precious moments with our sweet baby boy. You are a master at what you do, and treated all of us with such kindness and love. You also kept Henry so happy and content (which I was honestly nervous about as a brand-new mother), and anyone wanting newborn photos is missing out if they aren’t shooting with you!”
