Sisters are one of my favorite things to photograph. There is a bond that cannot be replaced, and these two are already fast friends. This beautiful family welcomed Marloe Lynn recently, and big sister Jonah is in love! Mom jokes, “Marloe, if you ever read this, we promise we don’t have a favorite child! But you are that second child, and this isn’t our first rodeo! We went all out on that first nursery, but our girls will be sharing a room when Marloe is big enough!” Mom is so sweet and had such a great sense of humor. She was so relaxed for our session, and really rolled with the punches! Big sister is adjusting amazingly, and her parents are loving watching her be a “little mother” to the baby.
Newborn sessions aren’t always easy, and sometimes, parents can feel stressed because of unforeseen circumstances. “You (Paula) are the real MVP”, adds mom, “Marloe was so irritable on the day of our session, and she was so gassy. She spit up right before her session, all over herself! You worked around the tears, multiple bowel movements, spit up, and anything else! Then, Jonah wasn’t in the mood for pictures, and was being so difficult. I have no idea how you got anything at all from that session, but our session came out so beautiful! Thank you!”
Trust me, I really have seen just about anything a newborn or toddler can come up with, and it doesn’t bother me! I am happy to make the session a memorable time for you and your family, and it brings me joy to make it happen, no matter the antics your babies may up to 🙂 Marloe was precious and so was Jonah. I loved what this mom had to say after her session: “The most rewarding thing about being their parents is watching them experience the world. The love we get to experience is unconditional and something only the Lord can give. It is a glimpse of how the Lord loves us! And watching Him shaping our hearts as a mother and father to be more like Him by letting us love on His babies… is such a reward in itself. But the most rewarding thing of all has to be watching my children fall in love with Jesus. There is nothing as sweet than hearing Jonah say His name. And I can’t wait to see Marloe do the same!”
I’m so proud of this sweet quartet. They made the most of a chaotic day to create these memories, and I’m so pleased with how they came out. I hope they come back soon!
