Tea for Two, anyone?
It’s a special milestone for this darling little girl, Lydia. She just turned two, and mom was excited about setting up a sweet tea party for her. This little one is a very active two year old, who loves to play with her baby dolls and stuffed animals. “She enjoys cooking with her new play kitchen”, explains mom, “She will be pouring tea for everyone with her tea set, and making sure everyone gets a piece of pretend cake or cupcakes”. When it comes to her siblings, she loves playing with all brother’s toys (which makes him a bit crazy!), and FaceTiming with her older sister who recent moved out of their home. She has a very sweet and engaging personality, and her mom says, “Being her mom is the most important and rewarding thing for me, it’s the best job there is! There just isn’t anything that compares, and I love watching her become her own little person, and learn new things.”
For this “tea for two” party, we started with a vintage table and chairs that were whitewashed and covered with lace. We added some flowers, a delicate tea set, and a beautiful cupcake for the birthday girl! And of course, every little one needs a friend to have a party with, and this little white bear was up for the task. Lydia wore the sweetest long floral gown, and a coordinating pink bow, and she loved pouring the tea all by herself (she’s had lots of practice with her pretend set!). We did a few more photos in another outfit; a cute fur vest and tulle maxi skirt with coordinating headband. Lydia looked adorable in everything we tried, and I really loved giving her family these beautiful memories of her second birthday.
