It can be hard to get out of the house with a brand-new baby. You’re tired beyond words, and you’re often up all night for feedings, but don’t let it stop you from scheduling newborn photos. Even with the haze of exhaustion, you will truly treasure seeing your little one before any changes happen. They change SO fast, sometimes even overnight! Sweet little Meilani was only five days new when we did her newborn shoot, and I just loved her full head of dark, soft hair and her beautiful features. She looked wise beyond her age, and she just slept like a dream.

She was only five pounds, fifteen ounces at her birth, but she’s growing so beautifully! She is healthy and happy, and her mom is so proud. Mom adds, “The most rewarding thing about being her mom is watching her grow everyday, and knowing she’s healthy and happy”. I was head over heels as I worked to design this session…I knew this dainty and adorable little girl needed an elegant and sweet session to match. I chose a lacy wrap and headpiece, and added vintage florals. Then, we did a natural, taupe tone with tiny pearl accents. Little Meilani was so sweet, and I wished I could have just held her all day!
