Chosen.
This theme rings true for this precious little girl, and I felt honored to be part of her story. She is precious, and look at those chunky cheeks and all that hair! Little Andi Lynn was welcomed recently to her very happy parents, but her story started many years ago. Mom shared, “I had emergency surgery after the birth of our biological son (the couple has two sons, ages 8 and 10), and we had unwanted infertility. After surrogacy didn’t work out, we prayed about the possibility of adoption, and it was heavy on my heart.” After a roller coaster of prayer and decisions, they became foster parents, and received their first placement in August of 2018. In July of 2018, Andi’s birth mother contacted them, and requested to have her baby placed with their family. Mom continues, “The biggest lesson we have learned through this process, is that there are so many children who need homes. Thousands wait in Texas alone, and we hope to inspire just one more family to adopt a child”.
This loving family wanted the theme of being “chosen” to be part of Andi’s nursery, and they have included shades of pink, grey, and pieces of scripture. The family is soon to adopt a son, as well, and they have divided the room in half so each sibling will have their own style. Along with their biological children, they are soaking up this baby phase with their precious daughter, and all wish it could go just a bit slower. I really enjoyed meeting this family, and hearing the beautiful way that God has knit them together.
If you are interested in becoming a foster or adoptive parent, you can read more about the process HERE. I know that this family would be very grateful for others to pray and learn more about adoption or foster care. If you are an adoptive or biological parent who is expecting, you can learn more about our newborn sessions HERE.
