Fall is a wonderful time of year. I love it for so many reasons! For one, the color change is a beautiful reminder of the changing of the seasons. Two, the temperatures are getting chillier – which is a plus for some of us, and a curse for the others. Third, and my favorite reason, the one year sessions take on a different look, because parents of little ones love incorporating some of the season into their sessions. This was especially the case for cute little Kaydence’s session!
I love how Mom wanted to put the essence of “fall” into her baby’s one year session. We dressed Kaydence up in fall colors, and captured her budding personality as she played around for the camera. She loves “patty cake,” as well as “if you’re happy and you know it,” so we made sure to try to keep her happy that way. Thing is, Kaydence is such a happy baby, that there really wasn’t a moment when she didn’t have a big smile on her face! Her mom describes her as a sassy girl, who loves her brother, her baby doll, peaches, blueberries, and being outside. And, judging from her session, she really loves being in front of the camera!
The setup for the session turned out so cute, and Kaydence was not shy at all about digging into her cake. It was so fun watching her dig right in to it! Setting up the scene with all of the symbols of fall, like the pumpkins, the rustic accents, and the earth tones was so fun for me, and I loved capturing Kaydence’s special spirit in it. Mom says, “We acknowledge that she is the Lord’s, and we are so thankful that He gave her to us! We feel rewarded just by being able to watch her grow and learn everyday. She makes us laugh, and teaches all of us patience, as well as how to love someone more than you ever thought you could.” If you’re a parent, then you know that feeling!
Thank you for letting me capture these precious moments of Kaydence’s first year. Congratulations, Kaydence!
