Planes, trains, and automobiles! Well…maybe just trains! This adorable, ADORABLE little guy sure loves trains, and there was truly no better way to capture his love for trains than to shoot his session at our local historical train station. After all, why not put him in his element? A very busy one-year-old, he was mobile, and had the sweetest personality. So many times as parents, and even as a photographer, we want to get the “perfect” pose and smile, but in reality, it’s pretty great to capture the kids being themselves! It is much more natural and fun for everyone.

Kollin’s wonderful mama says, “He loves any song! If there is music on, he loves to dance. He also loves being outside and adventuring, and he is almost always happy.” Happy, indeed…we got plenty of smiles from this cute little conductor, especially when he saw the letter train and whistle we had ready for him. I loved the embroidered detail on his little conductor’s hat with his name; it was the perfect personal touch for his session. One year old sessions are such a fun thing for me and the parents as well, because they truly celebrate the beginning of a journey into parenthood.
