When people ask me what I do for a living, I get to say “photographer”. I feel really lucky to do what I do, but “photographer” doesn’t even sum it up; I get to spend time with the most wonderful families, and also hear the stories of their various journeys and milestones. I get to design sessions, and document some of life’s most amazing moments. Families like this one really make my job so meaningful. Dutch’s mama says, “The arrival of this happy little boy was a total game-changer. I was told I couldn’t conceive without medical interventions, but God had other plans. He’s our amazing miracle, and brings us all a lot of joy. He’s very interested in everything, and full of life”.
Dutch is such a cute and unique name for him, and he is a very happy little boy, indeed. I had a ton of fun capturing his six month milestone session. My go-to for my indoor sessions is this bed decked out in white bedding. It looks so clean, fresh, and simple, and really complements the natural light that fills my studio. It gives my clients a light, airy, and modern look that they love. Dutch is wearing one of the little sitter outfits from my curated collection (romper via Indigo and Lace). I tend to steer towards simple, organic, and neutral colors to really bring out the personalities in my littlest clients. Mom adds, “Dutch enjoys being outdoors, animals, and his favorite toys. He also loves eating, and his face always lights up when his dad or sisters walk in the room.”
