Some parents have to go through quite a journey to have the family they dream of. My heart always goes out to those for whom pregnancy or adoption hasn’t come easily. I’ve heard of parents waiting years for an adoption to finalize, or jumping through the hoops of the court system to adopt a foster child into their forever family. Still others battle infertility, miscarriage, and infant loss, and struggle to begin or add to their family. The road can be hard, and trying, but the joy is also present, when these beautiful, wanted, loved children arrive. Of course, every parent is overjoyed to welcome a new baby, but I think those who have struggled to do so, have a special sense of gratitude.
Sweet little Zelda is one such little one, who was very loved and wanted, but the journey was difficult and lengthy. Mom says, “After two rounds of IVF, we have our sweet Zelda. She is a true blessing, and hardly ever cries!” Mom adds that her carefully decorated nursery is floral, and filled with a variety of colors. Zelda was peaceful and sleepy for our session, and was a beautiful baby with lots of dark hair. We chose a lot of simple florals, and creamy tones for her shoot, and it came out with a very elegant design. I love that I get to start my weekday moments off by cuddling and loving on these darling babies…it is a sure-fire cure for the a workday slump, and I truly look forward to every day of my job as a photographer.
I am so excited to be heading into a new year in just a few weeks. I tend to book up rather quickly, so if you are expecting or adopting a new baby, please let me know, so we can get you on our books! We would love to work with you!
