Nothing makes my heart soar more than couples who have been married a long time. Marriage takes hard work and faithfulness, and couples who withstand the test of time leave a legacy that is unmatched. Meet Pat and Jim; a beautiful couples who has just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. I felt so honored to be able to capture their sweet family at a recent photo session that commemorated their occasion.

This darling couple, so very much still in love, met November 20th, 1964, and said it was love at first sight! They went on their first date on Christmas day, 1964 and just ten weeks later, were engaged. Their happy wedding day was March 6th, 1965. They’ve been faithful members of Winfree Baptist Church for 48 years, and they have been blessed with three daughters, eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild (I love the photo where the grandkids are holding up their fingers to show their birth order!). They love card games with their friends and family, and have individual hobbies like antiques, and cross-stitching.

Congratulations, Jim and Pat…you are an inspiration, and I wish you many more years of happiness and joy!
