We had been planning this session for quite some time, and finally, it was time! April had purchased one of my Black Friday special offers, and she knew what she was hoping for, but couldn’t find the perfect location. They were in the middle of building a home, and when it was complete, she called and said they wanted to do the session in their house. It was perfect! Not only was it gorgeous and fit her theme, it is a great way to document a new house. I love lifestyle sessions where the clients can be comfortable and be themselves in their own home. We had a ton of fun, and these photos will be perfect on the walls of their beautiful place. It’s become a new trend to do “new home” or “first home” sessions where you can document the everyday life of your family for a memory book or scrapbook. It’s a great idea, because not every session has to be a posed, formal affair…the everyday moments are the ones you will miss when your children are grown.

Their girls, Joli and Jalyn, were precious. They adore each other, and are total girly-girls..they love to dance, and play with barbies and baby dolls. They also love reading to each other, and we are able to capture them playing and just being themselves. I know they will love to look back on these portraits and remember their wonderful childhood. April (mom) told me afterward, “The pictures are perfect and everything I hoped they would be! Thank you again!”
