“No one else will ever know the strength of my love for you. After all, you’re the only one
who knows what my heart sounds like from the inside.”
I love when I meet young moms who truly love being a parent. There is something really sweet and refreshing when moms tell me that having children was always their dream, or that they truly find joy and meaning in parenting littles. This is one of those amazing mamas…Not only did she deliver this handsome little boy, she also found out that she was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was 28 weeks pregnant. You’ll remember we featured her on the blog (find her maternity post here) and shared more of her story recently.
“The one thing I wanted most in the word was to be a mom”, says Amy, “My dream was always to have three children, and now I am living that dream. I feel incredibly lucky to be their mom. Peyton and Easton are so proud to be big brother and big sister to Asher, and they are constantly loving on him! My labor experience was not what I imagined or hoped for, but in it’s own way, it was perfect”. Amy suffered post-partum complications, and Asher spent some time in the NICU. Thankfully, he is now doing great, and Amy recently started her treatments to battle cancer. She says, “As I recently started treatments, I am now thankful every day for how amazing our kids really are. They are my reason to keep fighting”. Sweet little Asher was the youngest newborn I have ever photographed, at just four days fresh. He was so cuddly, and sleepy, and we captured lots of images to remember this special time, including some of their whole family.
