The light from the window isn’t the only thing making this mom-to-be so radiant and glowing. She naturally has this alluring glow that makes her just so gorgeous! I loved getting to know Taylor, and her adorable little boy. They both were very excited to meet the new addition to their lovely family. Who, since we had the session, has been introduced to each of them – and me! You’ll be seeing her on the blog very soon. We spent a bit of time with this flowered vine backdrop, for good reason. It so perfectly complimented Taylor’s outfit and complexion, and made for some beautiful maternity photos. The pink of her dress played well off of the soft white background, and the green vine framed her in wonderfully. Overall, the whole shoot had such a warm feel to it.
I asked Taylor how she felt about having a girl this time around: “When I found out I was having a girl, I couldn’t believe it!”, she said, “I wanted a girl so bad, that I tried not to get my hopes up so I wasn’t “disappointed” when blue balloons flew out of the announcement box. But these ones were pink! Of course, I would have been just as happy with another boy! And Brant really needed a brother. At least, that’s what I told myself. I talked myself up so much about it being a boy, that I was almost sad once I found out my next little blessing would be a she. But then, my dreams of having a little princess to dress up in pink, ruffles, and lace came true! Also, my mother-in-law already has 4 boys to spoil, so we’re both glad there’s a little girl for her to fawn over too.” Taylor went on to compare her pregnancies: “I had such easy pregnancies with both of my babies, but this one was different than the first. With Brant, he was breech, so I never really felt pregnant. But with my daughter, she was head-down. I felt more pressure, and it was harder to get around. That was when I really felt like I was carrying around a little human!”
Spoiler alert, Taylor’s new blessing is as gorgeous as her mom. I can’t wait for you all to see her! Little Brant seemed just as happy to have a sister, instead of a brother. Together, they make up one of the cutest families I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. I just love to capture the most special moments in someone’s life. It’s like I’m invited to the little moments no one else gets to see. At least, until they see the photos!
