When mom and dad found out they were getting twice the blessings, there was a lot of shock! Mom explains, “We were not prepared for one baby, much less two. So to say it was scary, would be an understatement. Although there were tears, those turned into smiles as we became so excited to meet our girls.” The journey wasn’t easy; being slender and athletic meant that this sweet mom had to undergo quite a bit of toll on her body, as well as enduring sciatic nerve pain. All of that was worth it when they welcomed their precious daughters (Emma and Avery), and she adds, “It’s really twice the love. We have two beautiful babies, and some people struggle just to have one. Having twins has been the most challenging task we have been given, but we wouldn’t want it any other way”.
Mom and dad have settled right into their new roles as parents, and I can see how much they truly love and adore their girls. Mom shared that their nursery is very elegant and girly, with rose gold cribs, and a full accent wall in a pink hue. They’ve added in pops of teal color, and have a fun sheep theme going as well! I can’t wait to see how this new family of four incorporates these newborn images into their cozy home, and I feel confident the girls will look back on these with fondness, because they are so loved. For this double-the-fun session, we did a soft, vintage theme, with pretty tones of green, cream, and pinks, and plenty of neutral props and backdrops. I couldn’t get enough of their soft, dark heads of hair, and of course, those pairs of baby toes! It was such a perfect day with these wonderful little girls, and I am so honored to have been their photographer.
