When I set out to do these adorable Daddy and Me Minis, I didn’t set a particular theme. Instead, I encouraged each dad to think of the thing they love doing most with their children. They did not disappoint! Each one of these amazing fathers brought along special items or an idea to share with their little one, and we played ball, danced, twirled, and read beloved books. I especially loved the “Houston Astros tea party”, which was so clever and fun. I could tell each and every child felt so special to be spending this time with their dad, and I applaud all of them for getting in front of the camera, and making it a priority to capture these days.
Dads, having your photos taken may not be your favorite thing, and getting dressed in matching outfits may not be your forte, either. If you’re a wife or mom reading this, maybe you’re wishing your other half would do a session like this. I want to say to anyone reading, that these sessions are not what you may be envisioning when it comes to family photos: They don’t have to be stressful, boring or posed with stiff smiles. They can be just like these: families playing together, laughing together, and just being themselves. It should relieve the pressure of sessions like they were years ago in places like Olan Mills, with fake backdrops and awkward group photos!
Contact me today to schedule your very own session, whether it’s daddy and his kids, or the whole family!
