Picture perfect? Maybe! That idea is what everyone anticipates as they head into a session. I get it; we all want that amazing, Pinterest-worthy image that looks like a magazine cover. But my goal is always to get a great photo where everyone is looking, and truthfully, I love the ones where you are interacting as parents with your children. Those are the truly “real”moments, the ones you will look back on with fondness, and sometimes, they are the only way to get little ones to participate without a major meltdown. I loved meeting this family, and as you can see, we got some amazing candid and posed shots. Mom has an elegant style, and great taste. We used a soft palette of colors, and it came out beautifully.
One of the things this family loves to do is go to the park on the weekends. Both children love being outside, so this session was just right for everyone. Mom shared, “Our son Carsten is silly and sweet. He wants to give his sister a big hug and kiss every morning. Amelia is sassy and sweet, and she can really hold her own when he tries to take a toy from her. She also loves giving big hugs, and her smile will melt your heart”. Both children also love animals, and getting to go to the zoo as a family is a special treat. Lastly, the family enjoys sharing their love of music with everyone they meet. Amelia loves dancing and bobbing her head to the music, and both children play music like their dad (keyboard, guitars, and drums), and when they hear him in their music room, they all make a run for it so they can play together!
Thank you for sharing your lives with me, Ingalls family!
