Every year on Father’s Day, I find myself thinking about all of the dads I’ve photographed here in Fort Worth over the years. Some walk into the studio convinced they’re only there because their wife signed them up. Others spend the session making silly faces behind me just to get their toddler to laugh. And every single one leaves a bigger mark on those photos than they probably realize.

One of my favorite parts of family photography is watching the connection between fathers and their children. Whether it’s a tiny newborn curled up on Dad’s chest, a little girl wrapping her arms around his neck, or a teenager leaning in for one quick hug before rolling their eyes, those moments matter. They tell a story your family will treasure for decades.
As a photographer, I know how easy it is for dads to end up behind the camera instead of in front of it. But your children deserve photographs that show you were there too. They won’t notice whether your shirt was perfectly pressed or whether you felt photogenic that day. They’ll simply see their dad loving them.
To every father who has trusted me to capture your family here in Fort Worth, thank you. I hope these photographs become part of your family’s history and remind your children, long after they’ve grown up, just how deeply they were loved.
